Elected by my peers, I served on the Board, and subsequently President, of the American Institute of Architects Santa Clara Valley Chapter. In this capacity I also served on the Board of the American Institute of Architects California Council. For this service, I was named a John F. Bolles Fellow.
For more than seventeen years, I was a member of the Campbell Planning Commission, thrice serving as Chair. In this capacity, I participated in the State-mandated process for a General Plan update. This work was followed by a yearlong review and update of zoning codes and ordinances, bringing them into compliance with the General Plan Goals and Strategies of the community. In these volunteer roles, I presided over many public meetings and made numerous public presentations.
In both 2013 and 2005, I served as the Campbell Chairperson for the successful Santa Clara County Library “Save Our Libraries” campaign. I served on the board of the Campbell Historical Museum and Ainsley House serving as Endowment Chair and Membership Chair.
